Los Angelos, California

My cousin Tim and me in Santa Monica

Jamie and her girlfriends in San Diego

On September 2, Jamie and I left San Francisco for our long drive to Los Angelos. When we arrived in LA we decided to head to Santa Monica for dinner. We ate dinner at a little Bistro called George's. The tiny little bistro was right downtown on the Promenade. I also got to meet up with my cousin, Tim! I hadn't seen Tim since Christmas so it was nice to be able to see him briefly that evening. We walked around Santa Moncia a bit after dinner and then walked near the beach to get a slight glimpse of the beach and the Pacific Ocean.

The next morning we woke and headed to Venice Beach where we met my high school friend, Alex, but not until after walking past Muscle Beach where some sort of taping was going on. Because of this, there was a multitude of overly muscular people strutting their stuff. Anyway, Alex joined us for lunch at The Sidewalk Cafe. It was a great little place to have lunch and catch up.

After lunch we walked out onto the beach. This was my first time at the Pacific Ocean so I was super excited. The beach was really crowded, but we walked a small stretch of the beach before turning back and parting ways.

After leaving Venice Beach, Jamie and I grabbed the trailer and headed out for San Diego where we would meet up with her college friends for dinner. It only took us two hours to get to San Diego because traffic was so minimal. Once we arrived, Jamie drove by her old apartment so I could see it and then we parked the trailer to head downtown for dinner. Jamie's friends picked us up and we drove downtown to RA. Jamie first began her long stint with RA at that very restaurant in San Diego so it was neat for me to get to see it. I also got to meet a whole group of friends of hers. They were super nice and everything was great.

After dinner, we said goodbye and then headed out for Yuma, Arizona, where we would stay the night before completing the long drive to El Paso, Texas the following day.
