Tim McGraw and Faith Hill: Soul 2 Soul 2 Concert

We left Kansas city on July 3th and drove all the way to Denver, Colorado. It was a full day of driving. It took us about 10 hours with the trailer. We arrived in Denver in the evening and it was too dark to see the mountains, but downtown Denver looked beautiful at night! We headed to our hotel, brought our stuff to our rooms and then walked over to Old Chicago for dinner. It was about 11:00 and I was starving. Dinner was excellent and we also got to meet Jamie's childhood friend, Ashley and her cousin, Amy. They were super nice.

July 31 was our one and only day of work in Denver due to a concert cancellation later in the week. The radio station had us set up across the street from the Pepsi Center before the Tim and Faith concert. The afternoon was hot as ever and the asphalt was radiating heat. As the day went on, it did cool off, but that was probably one of the hottest days I have experienced with this job as of yet. This was also the first event that Stephanie Beck Williams, the winner of our Music City Madness competition, performed on our stage. Essentially, there was a music video contest online at cmt.com and Stephanie was the winner of the competition. She will now be performing on our stage at several venues throughout the summer.

After her performance, the radio station had a "howling contest". The contestants had to howl like a wolf because the station is called The Wolf. The winner won a concert ticket for the night's show. After the contest was over, we packed up the trailer and headed into the Pepsi Center for the concert. By the time we got to our seats, Faith had already begun her portion of the show. She performed followed by a few duets, then Tim performed followed by a few more duets. It was a great show. It's crazy how different they seemed at this concert compared to the show that we saw at The House of Blues...it seemed like completely different people. The show was great.
